On June 7, 1958 the singer and songwriter known as Prince was born. The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra is honoring the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer by throwing a New Orleans style celebration on his birthday. The concert will feature Nayo Jones, Mecca Notes, and more.

Prince's innovative music integrated a wide variety of styles, including funk, rock, R&B, new wave, soul, psychedelia, and pop. He has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
